John 14:26 NASB, But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in my name, HE WILL TEACH YOU ALL THINGS
2 Corinthians 13:14 ESV, The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the FELLOWSHIP OF THE HOLY SPIRIT be with you all.
Let's take a look at the Holy Spirit for a few minutes. In Genesis 1:2, we are told that the Holy Spirit hovered over the waters as God began creating the universe. Then, AS GOD SPOKE, the Holy Spirit, with unequaled wisdom and power, created what God spoke.
Who on this earth is smarter that the Holy Spirit, also rightfully called the Spirit of God? Is there ANYTHING or ANYONE more powerful or more intelligent than He is. We think nothing of trusting our car to a skilled mechanic. We trust our bodies to a skilled physician. It should only be natural for us to consult (or fellowship) with the greatest source of knowledge and wisdom there ever was, the Holy Spirit.
Read John 14:26 again. Jesus said that this Helper, the Holy Spirit, will teach you all things. He will teach you how to be successful. He will teach you how to be rich. He will teach you how to raise your children, how to enrich your marriage, how to get promoted, how to build a church, how to flow in the anointing.
Jesus said in Matthew 6:6 to go into your prayer closet and pray. Why? Because it is more important for you to fellowship with the Holy Spirit. It is imperative for you to talk to Him one on one as well as listen to what He would have to say to you. There are things that the Holy Spirit would like to share with each of us individually that He cannot share with us as we listen to someone ministering the Word. While I agree that listening to anointed preaching and teaching is necessary, I am, also, adamant about being alone, one-on-one with the Holy Spirit. Each Christian should spend more time alone with the Holy Spirit than they do listening to their pastor and worship team each week.
Why? Because the Holy Spirit knows you more than your pastor does. As you get into the habit of listening to Him, you will find out that He knows more about you than you do yourself. There are things He would like to say to you that your Pastor/teacher can't. There are ways that He wants to encourage you that the Shepherd of the flock doesn't have the time to do. Although you can sense His presence in a church service, the Holy Spirit desires to reveal Himself to you in a deeper and more personal way than any pastor could ever do.
Fellowship with the Holy Spirit hones our Godly skills just like football practice does to a successful football team. When the day comes for us to meet face-to-face with our adversary, those times of fellowship with the power that created the universe will pay off.

A Prayer Warrior's First Prerequisite
Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.
The very first thing in becoming a real prayer warrior is that you must be absolutely convinced that God is God and no one else is. Neither political party is. World leaders are not. Your pastor, Sunday School teacher, spouse, kids or your boss certainly are not.
Although some of these might exercise authority over you, the one that exercises authority over all things is God Almighty and Him Alone. How did God feel about Pharaoh exercising ungodly authority over the Hebrew children? God put up with it until it was time to redeem His promise to Abraham.
Understand this. It is EXTREMELY important for anyone who wants to be an effective prayer warrior to fully understand the heart and mind of God. God could have, but He didn't, just snatch 2.5 million people out of Egypt and transplant them into the promised land. God gave Pharaoh the opportunity to bless His people or not. Pharaoh chose not to. He chose to curse God's people. In essence, Pharaoh tried to destroy God's people.
In return, God didn't bring His people out until He had unleashed His wrath on Pharaoh and the people of Egypt. If you will study it out, the ten plagues were direct slaps at Egypt's ten main gods. By the time God was through, Egypt's crops, their herds, their houses, and their firstborn sons were destroyed in a way that let them know that a supernatural force had freed the children of Israel. And, as if that wasn't enough, the entire army of Egypt was destroyed by a totally supernatural act.
You start becoming a prayer warrior by understanding that it is NOT God's will for you, or your children down to a thousand generations (Dt 7:9) to be enslaved by demonic forces. He has said He would bless. His angels will encamp around you. The powers of hell cannot prevail against you.
You start becoming a prayer warrior when you realize that He is God and no one else is. He loves you in away that nobody else can (John 3:16). He watches over you (Psalm 121:5-8). Not one hair on your head will perish without Him seeing it (Luke 21:18).
You start when you begin to realize that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. He becomes more important to you than what you are going through. Because, prayer warrior, you are strengthened by the knowledge that God's answer to your situation will bring you more joy than the sorrow you are experiencing right now.

What is a REAL Prayer Warrior?
A REAL prayer warrior is one who takes 2 Corinthians 10:4 very seriously. The first five words of that verse is enough to kick a prayer warrior into high gear. It reads, 'The weapons of our WARFARE.'
It doesn't say the weapons of what I wish for. It doesn't say I really, really would like for something close to an answer to happen. (Here's the most irritating to me when I hear people doing it.) Going on and on and on as you tell God how bad the situation is. You know, like God is depending on you to be the earth's Christian version of Fox News. Please, if you are doing that stop it right now. God knows more about the problem than you do. AND, if you knew everything God knew about the problem you'd just go ahead and give up and quit.
Paul makes an astounding declaration about prayer that you have never heard preached before. Paul declares that prayer is a weapon. It is not a time of pleading. It is not a time of crying. It is not a time of moaning and groaning. It is not a time of being wishy-washy. It is not something that you do every now and then, like ten minutes before church.
One of the greatest soul winners, one of the greatest overcomers of adversity, one of the most prolific Gospel writers plainly tells his readers that WE HAVE WEAPONS WITH WHICH WE CONDUCT A WARFARE. This specific weapon is described in Ephesians 6:17 as being 'the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God'.
But this great weapon is useless to anyone who would want to use it IF you didn't come face to face with the fact that we ARE IN A WARFARE. Christians face battles but don't fight. Our children, our churches our nation are all going through turmoil but Christians don't realize that we are at war.
If a Christian DOES realize we are at war with satanic influences, he is never taught, trained, instructed or encouraged to fight. We are doing good just to hold on faithful unto the end. No where in the Word of God have we ever been told to just barely get along. Yet, preachers, pastors, and evangelists want to hit these big, wonderful information filled sermons that don't teach you how to be victorious through prayer.
Prayer is attack mode, not just I hope to get by mode. Prayer is taking back what the enemy stole and making him pay the penalty for stealing. Prayer is breaking the chains of sin in every form. Prayer is bringing hope into hopeless lives. Prayer is setting boundaries of the blood of Jesus that the enemy CANNOT cross. Prayer is obtaining the 'great and precious promises' of a loving and Almighty God. Prayer is becoming the 'MORE THAN A CONQUEROR' and teaching our children by example. And my favorite, prayer is 'IN YOUR FACE DEVIL, I WON'T TAKE NOTHIN' OFF YOU ANYMORE.'
Bookmark this page. With the help of the Holy Spirit, I'll be able to break down into easy encouraging steps how to be a powerhouse for God. But, first of all, you have to come to grips with the fact that this is war. I intend to fight and not lay down. And I fully intend to win, just like Jesus did and just like He said I could.

The Greater One Inside of You
1 John 4:4--Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.
Jesus, by example, showed us how a how a child of God should think and therefore to act. He fully believed that He was born to carry out God's plan and be successful in everything He did.
It was the Greater One in Him that worked the miracles. It was the Greater One in Him that brought people into a proper relationship with God. It was, also, the Greater One that brought Him to the cross. AND, it was the Greater One in Him that resurrected Him from the grave and brought to all of us the total victory over our enemy, the devil.
It was the Greater One in Saul of Tarsus that turned his life around. It was the Greater One in Paul that brought him to and thru the beatings, stonings, imprisonments, shipwrecks and personal danger. It was also the Greater One in him that caused people to come to know Jesus, that healed the sick, that cast out demons, that prophesied, that brought sinners face to face with Almighty God.
Whatever unrighteous trial you are going through right now could be the direct result of the Greater One in you bringing you to it. Stop whining and start praising, because it is also the Greater One's desire to bring you victoriously through it to display His love, His mercy and His great power.

An Interruption or the hand of God?
Joseph's happy home life was interrupted by his jealous brothers who sold him into slavery. After he had some time to reflect on their cruelty, he realized that he was just becoming an important part of God's will for his family. This is evidenced by his comments to his brothers in Genesis 50:20. He told them, "You meant it for evil but God meant it for good." What seemed like a great inconvenience was actually God working through a yielded vessel to bring about His will for the Hebrew nation.
The same is true when "odd" and "undeserved" circumstances happen in our lives. We should seek God and find out His purpose in these little "bumps" in the road. If we had a little patience with God we would find out that, as Paul said in Romans 8:28, "All things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose." And Paul should know, he was probably the most 'tribulated' (I think I just invented a word) Christian that ever lived. However, none of these 'potholes' in his road of life kept the power of God from moving. Paul always found that, 2 Corinthians 12:9, God's grace was more than enough for him because God increased His miracle working power through every goofy circumstance He made Paul go through. Everything DID work together for Paul's good. Souls were saved, people were healed and miracles were performed by him. God did INDEED show up with signs and wonders right in front of Paul's detractors.
The same is true for this world and this nation we live in. To 're-coin' a phrase "Crap happens." I have learned through many, many hard and painful 'crappenings' (I just invented another word) that God had something on His mind for me instead of just making me smell like sombody's 'crappenings."
The United States is embroiled in a T-total ton of 'crappenings' that have been brought about by people who have no clue as to which end of their body their 'crap' should be coming out of. Unfortunately, they are the ones the so-called news media love to focus on. The crap-crazy media completely ignore the reasonable and intelligent members of this nation who actually work for a living and are doing a lot of good.
Why would God put His people through all of this? I'm glad you asked that question because I have His answer. It is the same thing that He told Paul. "My miracle working power is displayed in your weakness." This is a GREAT time for Christians throughout the world to come together and pray for a soul-saving, life changing, power filled outpouring of God's Spirit, His Love and His miracles.
Saints, don't despair at all the "craptologists" destructive behavior. Stand to your feet, lift your hands into the air and praise Him. God is up to something that can only be brought about but by raucous praise and strong prayer. The miracles of God are at hand and I fully intend on being in the forefront. Meet me there.

2 Corinthians 10:4-5 Henry Standard Version
2 Corinthians 10:4-5 Henry Standard Version--There only APPEARS to be
several factions fighting for supremacy in this great nation of ours.
However, there are only two. I, and thousands of others like me, are
harnessed to the unbeatable power of the Creator. (Although millions may
claim it only a few of us actually use it.) We don't fight and yell
and wreak havoc to garner the attention of TV crews and newspaper
reporters like the losers do. We stand firm, clothed with the
indestructible armor of God. We unsheathe the strongest weapon of all,
The Sword of the Lord which is the Word of God. Although we spend hours
in our hidden bunker of our prayer closet, we are strengthened by the
FACT that our time is not wasted. NOTHING on this earth has the ability
or power to stop God's Word from coming to pass, just like God said it
would in Isaiah 55:11. When I see rebelliousness from the losers in the
news, I just hold out my shield of faith and remind the devil that God's
Word is unstoppable. But that's no news to him, he's been aware of that
all of his sin-shortened life. Change is coming. Prayer Warriors like me
all around the globe are fed up with the way things are going and we
are making full use of the God weapons that have been made available to
us. Join us today and reap with us the most glorious prize of all--lost
souls coming to a loving Savior. #prayer warrior

First of All
Let's see if we can get 1 Timothy 2:1 down pat.
Does Paul exhort Timothy----
First of all make sure that you're at the right...
Church of God or Baptist Church, Christian Church, Catholic Diocese, etc, etc.
First of all make sure that you are preaching the right doctrine.
First of all make sure that your pastor has the proper credentials. After all God sure can't move if your pastor doesn't have an appropriate degree.
First of all make sure that your worship team turns up their instruments so loud that it rattles the windows and the ladies' glass necklaces and ear rings.
First of all make sure that the worship team sings the latest and greatest praise music and their singers imitate the hottest pop singers.
First of all make sure that you divide up into cell groups because that's the latest craze.
First of all make sure that everybody dresses up in suits and fancy dresses.
First of all make sure that everybody dresses down in shorts, baseball caps and flip flops.
First of all have church in the weirdest places like theaters, parks and storefronts.
I trust you know that Paul said none of those things to Timothy. However, to the vast majority of churches these things have the highest priority above the real 'first' thing. That is the reason we are seeing so much turmoil in our land as well as around the world.
Churches are fighting and breaking up because their congregations, their pastors and their leaders insist on being the 'social event' of the area. People run from church to church trying to find out where they fit in. Or, they keep looking for 'THE CHURCH'.
Paul instructed Timothy in the CORRECT 'first thing'. He said that first of all, instruct the people to pray every way that you can for ALL MEN. Then he gets specific. Pray for the kings and all of those in authority. The reason this is the 'first thing' was so that we could lead a quiet and peaceable life on this earth. If that concept wasn't possible, the Holy Spirit would have never encouraged Paul to write it.
The fact that America is torn apart by different 'hate' groups is irrefutable evidence that the body of Christ is in a backslidden shape. It's not just the recent acts in Charlottesville. It's been going on and getting worse and worse.
Don't even think about blaming President Trump and the Republicans. He inherited a powder keg from Obama and the Democrats. (I hope I've made a whole lot of people mad.) BUT THEN, I can turn back around and say that the reason he inherited these problems is because those that say they believe in God really, really, really don't.
I'm going to go another step further and say something else disparaging to 95% of Christianity. In a sense, the 'so called' body of believers have broken the very first commandment. They have put another gods before the True and Living God. They put the god of complacency, the god of the social club, the god of 'everybody goes there', the god of 'ain't the music great there' and the god of 'I don't have to answer God's call on my life' before God.
The original group that received the Baptism of the Holy Ghost in the book of Acts didn't try every trick in the book to try to fit in. They blatantly pointed the finger of the Holy Ghost and told the priests that they were the ones who crucified Jesus who God raised the dead. They didn't mince words. They didn't try to placate.
As a matter of fact, the Jewish religious community complained about them that they were trying to turn Jerusalem upside down. But they weren't. They were actually turning the people right side up.
Why did they want to stir up trouble? First of all, they weren't. They were trying to point people to a relationship with Jesus Christ. They got the Holy Ghost gumption from spending so much time in prayer. That's why they appointed the first deacons in the church. To them it was absolutely important that they give themselves over to prayer. Prayer was the 'first' order of business and it was the driving force of the early church.
Apostle Paul with Barnabas and Silas didn't go from place to place because they were trying to get people to join a club. No, they would go into a place all prayed up. Then they would pray for the sick and cast out devils.
You wanna start a church? That's the way you do it. Get charged up by being one-on-one with the Presence of God until you can feel His Unction commanding you to pray for the sick and cast out devils.
Here's the way that an elder should get up and make the Sunday morning announcements. "Ok, folks, don't forget that Monday and Thursday nights we'll be meeting in various rooms at the church for prayer. The sanctuary will be devoted to prayer for the lost. The prayer warriors that want to intercede for our president will be meeting in the choir room. Those that want to intercede for our military and our police officers will be meeting in rooms 101 and 205. And those of you that want to focus on revival for the church, just gather outside on the church grounds and feel free to walk around and pray."
And that's the type of church that I am praying God will raise up here in Savannah, Georgia. A no-nonsense, get down to business, devil chasing, body healing, deliverance demanding group of Holy Ghost filled believers that are smart enough to put first things first.
