Unbridled Revival Part 4

If you haven't read parts 1-3, scroll down and read them first.

To come into unbridled revival you have to develop a God-life of unbridled praise and joy. Remember the past lessons. You have made a decision to walk in unbridled agape love. You have made a decision to walk in a manner that brings you into a stronger love relationship with Jesus. You have made a decision that you are going to believe your Lover more than you believe anyone else or any circumstances. You have made a decision to believe that His Word is true.

Psalm 68:3--But let the righteous be glad; let them rejoice before God: yea, let them exceedingly rejoice.

David, the man after God's own heart. The man who went through circumstances that didn't look like God's Word was true for him. In this Psalm, he gives us a view of one of his keys to victory in his life. He said to let the righteous be glad. Before you say, yeah, that's me. I've been saved for 40 years and still don't have the victory, take a look at how God defines righteousness. Read Gen. 15:6, Rom 4:3, Gal 3:6, and James 2:23. They all say the same thing. Three different writers of the Word of God made the same statement under the inspiration of the Holy Ghost. They said that Abraham believed God and it was accounted unto him for righteousness. Way back before churches, baptisms, roll books, preachers and deacons, a man decided that he would believe what God said. Abraham started believing it when it looked like it had only a small, outside chance of coming to pass. He kept on believing God's Word for 25 years. He kept on believing that what his Lover said was true even as his and Sarah's bodies were falling to pieces. In other words, he believed God when it looked like there was no way God's Word would come to pass. Notice the next scripture.

Rom 4:18-Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.Rom 4:19-And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara's womb:Rom 4:20-He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;

Notice that Abraham grew strong in faith because he decided to give glory to God. So the Psalmist David is saying, Let the ones who believe God's Word instead of circumstances be glad. He also said to let them exceeding rejoice.

Paul said in 1 Thes 5:18-In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. He didn't say "FOR" everything give thanks, he said "IN" everything give thanks. Give unbridled praise. Is Paul qualified to give a command like this? Absolutely YES! Outside of Jesus Christ, Paul was and still is the greatest soul winner ever. His writings are still enabling people to reach the lost. Think of it. A powerful soul winner is giving out one of his secrets. Just like the father of many nations did. The secret to a powerful life is not only believing God's Word but in giving Him praise for bringing His Word to pass.
David, in Psalm 23, described a time in his life when it looked like everything else but God's will was coming to pass. The circumstances looked as if he could die any minute. However, in the middle of that valley, he proclaimed that he was not going to fear evil. He declared that God's Word was a comfort to him and not a thorn in his side. He declared that God was sovereign over all of his circumstances. His faith went so far as to say that he believed that God would cause him to feast right in the very middle of the ones who would like to see him dead. And they couln't eat any of it. How about that for a 'gotcha.' Like David, we need to understand that God is well able to do whatever He said He would do.
He has a plan to bring His Word to pass whether it looks like it or not. Jesus didn't care what it looked like when he stood before Pontius Pilate bound, beaten and bloodied. He looked Pilate right in his Roman governor eye and boldly declared, "I was born a king." He declared something that nobody else believed about Him. He declared it boldly because it was what His Father had said about Him.
Unbridled revival is brought into being by: Unbridled love-Unbridled belief in God's Word alone-and Unbridled praise and rejoicing. Take all the shackles off, my friend, and praise Him just because He said it. Rejoice exceedingly because God's Word is true no matter what it looks like. That's the definition of righteous.
